Happy Mothers Day!

I've taken to day off to enjoy the million times I have been told "Happy Mommies Day" from my almost 5 year old and "Happy Easter Day" from my 3 year old. (That was the last holiday and it's just so stinking cute when he says it!)  I hope you've had a wonderful day as well.

To all the fabulous women out there, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

I hope you didn't get stuck with much of this:

Moving Update

Tomorrow is our last day in NC.  We'll be getting up early Wednesday morning to drive to Florida.

I hate being away from the blog for so long but I'll be back soon I promise!

Momma Thrift is moving to Florida!

If my post have seemed a little scarce the past week or two it's because we're preparing for a move to Florida in less than 3 weeks!  There is so much work to do at home that I just don't have time to look for deals online & share them with you. I promise though that once I move, I'll be back with more deals.

Any readers on the Space Coast?  I'm moving to Melbourne & once I get settled in, I plan on hosting coupon swaps, coupon classes & doing a ton of stuff with local businesses.  Please help spread the word that my blog is (soon to be) local to Melbourne & I can bring local deals to you faster!

A 4 year old's joke.

So my 4 year old has been telling "jokes" for about a month now.  I use the word jokes loosely because to this point he's just been making stuff up like:
Knock knock
who's there?
Silly Willy
Silly Willy who?
(Him laughing) Silly Willy you!

But the other day while I was laying in bed sick he came in & told me this joke:
Why did the chicken cross the playground?
To get to the other slide.

As sick as I was, I had to laugh!  It was super corny & I was super sick but he remembered the punchline to a real joke instead of making it up.  :-)  Who did I have to thank for the joke?  He said he got it off the Backyardigans (yes- the TV was my babysitter while I was sick in bed).  So thank you Backyardigans for teaching Big Thrift his first real joke and being able to make his sick momma laugh.

Good thing germs can't spread on the computer!

WOW! I've gotten my butt kicked by this round of sickness.  Actually, the entire Thrift family has been miserably sick.  I was so bad that I didn't even turn on my computer for two days.  No emails, no sales, no blog, no facebook, no games, no coupons, nothing!  Trust me, that's sick in my book!
Now I am finally starting to feel better I have a huge to-do list.  It's amazing how much housework adds up in just a few days of doing nothing!  Mom's really don't get a sick day, even when they stay home.
I just want to thank you all for reading my blog & ask you to please share it with your friends & family so I can grow the blog & do giveaways & reviews that I have lined up already.
